Frequently Asked Questions

Is mobile grooming more expensive than a regular salon?

Typically, mobile fees are between $15-$25 higher than salon fees. While mobile pet grooming is not for everyone, more and more people find the convenience and personal attention that they and their pet receive is well worth the added cost.

How long does a grooming take?

On average, appointments last between one to two hours. Dogs that have long hair or a matted/dense coat may require a longer appointment.

Can I stay with my dog in the van?

We prefer not to have the owner in the van while we are working on the pet. Most pets will act up or get excited when the owner is present, which makes grooming more difficult and hazardous. Our van has large windows that will allow your pet to see his yard and feel safe at home.

How often should my pet be professionally groomed?

The rule of thumb is every 4-6 weeks. Regular grooming will not only keep your pet clean, but also keep the coat/skin healthy. Long-haired dogs will need a regular brushing at home to prevent matting and may also need professional grooming as often as 1-4 weeks. We will be able to advise you on how to properly groom your pet at home and how to select the appropriate grooming tools.

What grooming style will my dog receive?

Amy is very creative and always opens to new ideas and suggestions. She can give your pet the look that you want depending on your dog’s coat.

Do you have a license?

Illinois does not require pet groomers to have a professional license. However, our pet stylist holds an All Breeds Dog Grooming certificate from Groomadog Academy.
